Who we are
Ark Design is a pattern-making and fashion design studio in Egypt. This policy explains how we handle your data on our website and in our client app.
The data we collect
- Account data: your name, mobile number, email and password (stored encrypted), or only your name and email if you sign in with Google or Apple.
- Order data: garment type, sizes and notes, and the photos and files you upload for your designs.
- Chat: the messages, photos, files and voice notes you send to our team.
- Invoices and payments: your invoices, the amounts paid, and the transfer receipts you send us.
- Device data: your phone's notification token, so we can send you order updates.
We do not collect your location or your contacts, and the app has no ads and no advertising tracking.
How we use it
- To carry out your orders and contact you about them.
- To send notifications about order status and new messages.
- To issue invoices and follow up on payments.
- To protect accounts and prevent misuse.
Phone permissions
- Camera and photos: to send photos of your designs, only when you pick one.
- Microphone: for voice notes in the chat, only while recording.
- Notifications: for order updates.
- Fingerprint or Face ID: if you turn on the app lock. Your biometric data stays on your phone and never reaches us.
Sharing your data
We never sell your data or share it with any marketing party. We only use service providers that work on our behalf:
- The hosting company of the server that stores our data.
- Google Firebase to deliver notifications.
- Google and Apple for sign-in, if you choose to use them.
- The online payment company, if you pay online. Card details are entered on their side and never reach us.
We may also disclose data when required by law.
Protecting your data
The connection between the app and our server is encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are stored encrypted, and files are kept on secured servers with access limited to the relevant team members.
How long we keep data
- Account data is kept until you delete your account.
- Orders, invoices and payments are kept as accounting records for the period required by law.
- Chat conversations stay in your client file if you are a registered client; otherwise they are deleted with your account.
Deleting your account
- In the app: “Account” → “Delete account”. Your account is deleted immediately.
- Without the app: request it from the “Delete your app account” page linked at the bottom of our website (ark-desgin-eg.com/en/delete-account); we delete it within 7 days.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct or delete it, at any time.
Children
The app and our service are meant for adults (18+), and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will publish the new version here and update its date.
